Malawi Electoral Commission

The Malawi Electoral Commission, “the Commission”, is a body corporate created under Section 75(1) of the Constitution, to supervise, direct and preside over the conduct of all elections in Malawi.

In accordance with Section 13 of the Malawi Electoral Commission Act, the Commission seeks to appoint a suitably qualified person with relevant experience to fill the following vacant position within its secretariat.

Job Title: Drivers
Number Required : 3
Grade: C9
Responsible to: Director ofAdministration and Human Resources
Location: Head Office – 1, Regional Office Centre – 2

Key duties & responsibilities

  • Driving staff
  • Maintain a log book with details of trip
  • Ensure the vehicle is in good condition and  road worthy

Qualifications

  • MSCE
  • Possession of Class C and D driving license and defensive driving certificate will be an added advantage
  • Two years working experience in a government or reputable organization

Age

Between 21 to 45 years

  • Be reliable, punctual and self-motivated.
  • Have a great attitude and strong work ethics
  • Be able to speak and write English fluently
  • Be capable and confident in his/her ability to work
  • Be physically fit
  • Have no criminal record and be of unquestionable integrity
  • Must demonstrate impartiality at all times
