Vacancy – Draughtsman
H.E. Jackson Engineering Ltd (HEJ) is one of the leading providers of engineering solutions in Malawi and serves all sectors of the economy including mining, energy, agriculture, construction and manufacturing. The company h s an urgent requirement for Draughtsman tenable at its Head Office in Lilongwe.
Job Summary: Reporting to the Project Managers, the Draughtsman will be responsible for creating detailed engineering technical drawings and plans to be used in various construction, engineering and manufacturing projects for the company. The Draughtsman will ensure that engineering structures or products are built with precision by employing specialized computer-aided design (CAD) software. The Draughtsman will translate the vision of engineers into understandable, operational blueprints. This process will involve a meticulous understanding of design specifications, dimensions, and materials. The Draughtsman will facilitate clear communication among project stakeholders, supporting the seamless transition from conceptual design to tangible reality, while adhering to relevant codes and standards, and remained aligned to the strategy, commitments and goals of the company.
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma in any engineering field
- Three (3) years’ work experience as Draughtsman in big engineering/construction project (s)
- Excellent computer skills.
- Proficient in computer-aided design software, like AutoCAD
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-starter
- Engineering/construction technical knowledge
- Registration with Malawi Engineering Institution.
