District Coordinator- Phalombe and Thyolo Districts
Reporting to: Program Managers- FOCCAD and WORI
Responsibilities
- Coordinating AGYW programing using combination HIV prevention
- Coordinating and supporting management of teen clubs for children/ adolescents living with HIV in targeted health facilities.
- Managing targeted community HIV testing for AGYW
- Support school and community based AGYW programing through life skills and CSE
- Facilitate defaulter tracing and treatment adherence for AGYW
- Manage referral systems for quality HIV services for AGYW
- Support monitoring and supervision for AGYW peer education activities.
- Coordinate economic empowerment activities for AGYW living with HIV
- Support business mentorship for AGYW on school bursaries.
Qualifications:
- Degree in public health, Nursing or Social Sciences
- Strong knowledge and practice of essential health package and delivery models for combination prevention (biomedical and behavioral)
- Knowledge and practice on key health policies for Malawi
- Knowledge in working with key populations in HIV and AIDS programing.
- Hands on experience on peer education programing on HTS, ART, PMTCT, EID, and general HIV and AIDS prevention programing focusing on AGYW
- Strong planning and managerial skills
- Computer skills a MUST.
