Deputy Human Resources Manager

Main responsibilities include:

Assisting in management of the following areas

  • Development and implementation of Human resources policies and strategies
  • Recruitment and selection and induction of new staff
  • Facilitation of performance management across all departments
  • Handling disciplinary matters
  • Management of the human resources information system
  • Management of general staff welfare matters

Minimum requirements:

  • A qualification to Bachelor’s Degree level in Human Resources Management/ Public Administration/ Business Administration or any relevant Degree obtained from an accredited and recognised institution
  • 3+ year’s relevant professional experience in a similar capacity in a relatively busy institution.

Skills/Attributes required

  • Adequate knowledge and working experience of Malawi labor laws.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and pay attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to get things done with minimal supervision while exercising good judgment.
  • Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills
  • Must be a person with high level of professionalism, trustworthiness, confidentiality, and integrity with a clean criminal record
