DEBTORS SUPERVISOR

Mwaiwathu Private Hospital invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Debtors Supervisor tenable at the Hospital along Chileka Road in Blantyre.

Position Context

Reporting to the Financial Accountant, the Debtors Supervisor will oversee the accounts receivables team, ensure timely and accurate invoice processing, manage collections, resolve receipts discrepancies, and maintain detailed financial records.

Specific duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Implementing the credit management policy effectively and efficiently.
  • Preparing high quality debtors reports and ensuring that they are signed off by clients.
  • Ensuring that all invoices are submitted to debtors according to the agreed deadlines
  • Resolving all debtors issues escalated by the accounts assistants
  • Preparing debt collection projections for inclusion in the company cashflow projections
  • Supervising reconciliation of debtors accounts and submitting reconciliation report by the agreed date
  • Recommending to the Financial Accountant debtors accounts which need action such as suspension for non-payment.
  • Managing the performance of staff under supervision effectively and efficiently
  • Maintaining detailed financial records accordingly

Educational Qualifications and Work Experience

  • University degree in accounting.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar job.
  • Paid up member of ICAM
