Debt Collection Officer at Target Security Group

Target Security, a fully integrated multidisciplinary security and facilities management company is recruiting a Debt Collection Officer. The Debt Collection Officer will be responsible for leading debt collection processes in the company.

This position is tenable at our Blantyre office.

Main Responsibilities.
Duties and essential functions but not limited to;
Employing effective strategies to recover outstanding debts.
Communicating with clients to discuss repayment plans and negotiating settlements.
Communicating with clients to understand their financial situations, providing guidance and solutions to resolve outstanding debts.
Using strong negotiation skills to reach favourable agreements with clients, balancing the interests of both parties.
Maintaining accurate and updating records of all communication and transactions related to debt collection.

The Ideal Candidate.
Education, Licenses and Certifications Required.
•Must possess the Malawi School Certificate of Education.
•Minimum of a Diploma in Accounting or its equivalent.

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required.
•A minimum of Five years of prior experience on active duty in a busy and reputable company in a similar role.

Skills Required.
•Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with clients.
•Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately.
•Negotiation skills.
•Attention to detail.
•Computer skills is a MUST.

Other requirements.
•Must be not less than 30 years.
•Must be in possession of valid Drivers’ license issued by the Malawi government.
•Must be in possession of a National ID issued by the Malawi government.
