DATE CODING TECHNICIAN

The successful Candidate will be reporting to the Maintenance
Supervisor and will be expected to ensure accuracy and compliance of date coding on all packaged products. This role is vital in maintaining product traceability, quality assurance and regulatory compliance.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

  • Operate and maintain date coding equipment on packaging
    lines to ensure accurate and legible codes
  • Monitor and verify date codes for accuracy to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory
    requirements
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with coding equipment to
    minimize downtime
  • Perform routine maintenance and calibration of coding
    machines to ensure optimal performance
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure seamless
    integration of date coding into packaging process
  • Conduct quality checks on coded products to ensure
    consistency and readability
  • Maintain detailed records of coding activities including
    equipment maintenance and quality checks
  • Train team members on the proper use and maintenance of
    date coding equipment
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in the
    workplace

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Minimum of a good MSCE and must have a Grade 1 National
    Trade Test Certificate in Electronics or related field
  • Atleast 2 years’ experience in operating and maintaining date
    coding or labelling equipment in manufacturing environment.
  • Those with experience in operating and maintaining video jet and laser jet printers will have an added advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under
    pressure
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • No criminal record
