MEIRU
The Malawi Epidemiology and Intervention Research Unit (MEIRU), operates in Karonga District, and Lilongwe City. The research programme is conducted in partnership with the Kamuzu University of Health Sciences (KUHeS), Malawi Ministry of Health and International partners. The programme is developing capacity in non-communicable disease research (including mental health), health informatics, epidemiology, and other areas. Research is done in partnerships and in highly conducive academic environments.
An experienced data manager and documentalist is sought to join the MEIRU data team and play an important role in developing and maintaining the data management systems for this research programme across our rural and urban sites, including our new urban demographic surveillance system, which will act as a platform for several nested cohort and cross-sectional studies. The data manager and documentalist will also have significant interactions about MEIRU data with partners and collaborating institutions and network, including the Implementation Network for Sharing Population Information from Research Entities (INSPIRE).
SALARY AND CONDITIONS OF APPOINTMENT
Salary will be on Grade B or C of our scale. Salary point will depend on qualifications and experience. Post is subject to the MEIRU terms and conditions of service.
