Key Roles and Responsibilities

1. Team Management and Leadership

➢ Responsible for the overall leadership of the Fintech Malawi Ltd

➢ Collaborate with relevant stakeholders in developing and supporting the

organization’s overall vision, mission, values and strategic goals

➢ Providing management reports and representing the entity in management

committees including EXCO and Board.

➢ Supporting staff job performance, career development, capacity building and

deployment of skills.

➢ Responsible for boosting the productivity levels of Fintech Malawi.

➢ Mentoring staff while offering right leadership and being an example to the team.

➢ Ensure implementation of the business strategy designed to grow the business

unit performance.

➢ Ensure the overall delivery and quality of the entity’s offerings to customers is of

best standards.

➢ Reporting on a quarterly basis to various stakeholders on the overall

performance of Fintech Malawi Ltd.

➢ Ensure compliance with statutory requirements.

2. Business growth responsibilities

➢ Identify strategic alliances that are consistent with the Fintech Vision, Mission and Strategic Goals .

➢ Identify and assist in closing business opportunities.

➢ Identify and create business opportunities by seminars, meeting customers and publicity.

➢ Continuously assess our different strategic alliances and relationships with a view to retaining those that are for Fintech’s best interests.

➢ Continuously work on developing a corporate code that is consistent with exceptional customer service.

3. Financial Management roles

➢ Unlocking the revenue potential for the entity through effective management and exceptional leadership.

➢ Work with Business development team to demonstrate how Sales forecast would add value to business.

➢ Manage Operational costs.

➢ Responsible for productivity and financial performance of the entity.

Educational Level and experience required for the position

➢ 10+ years working experience in the area of Management /Finance/ Business development/ IT or related fields; 5 –years of the experience at Supervisory and management level.

➢ A leader with high level of integrity, work ethic and positive track record at management/Leadership level.

➢ Degree in Business/Information Technology/Management and related fields. Master’s degree in Business Administration/ Management is an added advantage.

➢ Knowledge of Market/ Business development coupled with Fintech industry awareness.

➢ Team leadership experience managing a larger team or entity.

➢ Constantly challenges the way things are done – strive to always improve the what and how.

➢ Ability to close business sales targets on regular basis and meet customer expectations.

➢ Leadership and management competencies with ability to deliver entity goals as required by the board.

➢ Ability to unlock business potential and boost revenues.

➢ Business acumen & Stake holder management skills.

➢ Financial planning skills and budget control.

➢ Interpersonal skills to support the development of a healthy internal culture that retains right employees and encourages their professional development.
