Construction Officer
Location: Blantyre & Makandi,Thyolo (Project Sites), Malawi
Contract Period: 6 Months
Work Condition: The position requires residing in the project site area and commuting daily to the project office.
Main Responsibilities:
Support the design, supervision, and management of construction projects
Conduct site visits and monitor construction progress
Prepare project documentation (drawings, BOQ, reports)
Prepare and submit a daily construction progress report to the project manager
Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and relevant stakeholders
Ensure safety, quality, and compliance with Malawi construction standards
Qualifications:
Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field
Proven experience in construction projects (design, site supervision, or project management)
Familiarity with Malawi’s construction regulations is preferred
Ability to work in rural and urban project sites
Fluent in English
Willingness to reside in the project site and commute to the office daily
