Job Summary: The Community Engagement Coordinator will be responsible for leading community mobilization and engagement efforts within the ANAPA. This position will focus on building strong partnerships with local communities, stakeholders, and traditional leaders to create enabling environment for vulnerable children, adolescents, and youth (VCAY) to thrive.

Major Responsibilities:

·       Develop and implement community engagement strategies that align with ANAPA goals and objectives.

·       Build the capacity of ANAPA field staff to establish and nurture relationships with community leaders, local organizations, and stakeholders.

·       Collaborate with CAFYW Engagement Specialist to ensure meaningful participation of VCAY in community-based initiatives.

·       Support field staff to establish and train community advisory groups and committees.

·       Develop and implement male engagement activities.

·       Develop and implement participatory community mobilization strategies.

·       Build the capacity of staff, local partners and government partners on male engagement and participatory community mobilization.

·       Support the adoption of evidence-based curriculum on participatory community mobilization at national level.

·       Monitor community perceptions, feedback, and needs to inform ANAPA implementation.

·       Contribute to the development of ANAPA reports, documentation, and learning materials related to participatory community mobilization and male engagement.

·       Any other responsibility assigned by the Gender Specialist.

 

 

Minimum Requirements:

·       Bachelor’s degree in community development, social sciences, or a related field.

·       Minimum of 5 years of experience in male engagement, participatory community mobilization, or related roles.

·       Strong knowledge of community-based approaches and participatory methodologies.

·       Should be gender competent.

·       Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and facilitation skills.

·       Proven ability to build rapport and trust with diverse community stakeholders.

·       Effective communication and presentation skills.
