Job Vacancy: Club Manager
The Club is looking for a Manager to manage the affairs of the Club. Ideally, we are looking for someone who can oversee the staff and operations of the Club by making sure it’s environment is clean, functioning efficiently and inviting for customers to relax in. We expect this person to be able to provide detailed information on menus, multi-tasking various front-of-the-house duties. He or she should be a team player and an effective communicator. He or she should be flexible as the job requires working late, during weekends and holidays.
Duties and responsibilities
Apart from scheduling employees and building their shift calendars, managing and resolving customer complaints and ensuring the club’s inventory is well-stocked, the Manager is responsible for:
  • Opening and closing the Club daily
  • Hiring staff for the Club
  • Getting all the necessary permission from relevant authorities for operating the bar and restaurant
  • Training all the new staff
  • Manage all the shifts of the employees and make sure there is adequate man power during business hours.
  • Keeping a close watch on the stock and inventory of the bar and restaurant
  • Apply good hygiene standards for the Club
  • Report to the Board of Directors of the Club about the business
  • Promote the bar and restaurant in order to increase clientele
  • Ensure employees provide good service to customers
  • Interact with customers to obtain feedback
  • Manage unruly and sometimes drunk customers in a polite fashion.
  • Be present during peak business hours and ensure smooth running of the Club
  • Balance all the daily accounts
  • Collect overdue debt from customers
  • Know about the latest beverages and foods and introduce them at the Club
  • Handle customer complaints
  • Advertise the daily, weekly and monthly promotions of the bar
  • Ensure staff is following all food control and safety regulations
Education
  • Diploma in management is preferred
  • Diploma/certificate in accounting
  • Qualification in hotel management is an added advantage
Requirements and skills
  • Many years of relevant experience in bar or restaurant management in lieu of academic qualification
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal communication.

  • Leadership skills
  • Organizational skills
