The Local Government Service Commission is inviting applications from suitably qualified Malawians to fill the following vacant posts that exist in the different sectors of Nkhotakota District Council.
JOB TITLE: CLINICAL OFFICER
GRADE: I/M7
QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must be serving Senior Clinical Technicians (Grade J/M8) with a minimum of four (4) years’ experience at that grade in the Local Authorities or in possession of a Bachelors’ Degree in
Clinical Medicine obtained from accredited institutions and must be registered with Medical Council of Malawi.
DUTIES
1. Performs both minor and major operations on their own;
2. Ensuring effective case management at health institutions;
3. Conducts ward rounds;
4. Running the emergency medical services and casualty;
5. Conducts clinical research with the idea of getting close to evidence based practice;
6. Conducts routine district visits;
7. Shoulder in-service training and research programs;
8. Running a specific Ministry of Health program: TB, Malaria Control, and HIV/AIDS.
8. Prepares and submits reports.
9. Any other related professional duties as may be assigned from time to time.
