About Us:

Grace Community Health Centre is a rural CHAM Facility located between Mvera and Salima road it provides OPD and Maternity Services and is a faith based organization leading healthcare provider committed to delivering exceptional patient care and advancing clinical excellence. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) to join our executive leadership team and  we seeking for an individual who is passionate about developing a rural health center to a community hospital status, and the development of systems to improve maternal outcomes such as permaculture gardening, engaging with local leaders to promote healthcare service and working with international partners to initiate innovative solutions to improve the overall health of our community at large. The CCO will play a key role in driving the clinical strategy, ensuring high-quality care delivery, and supporting organizational growth through innovative clinical practices.

 

Position Overview:

The Chief Clinical Officer will be responsible for overseeing the clinical operations, quality standards, and patient care delivery within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, leadership experience, and a passion for improving healthcare outcomes. This individual will work closely with the executive team to develop and implement clinical strategies that align with the organization’s mission and vision.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment, diagnosis,treatment and care of the patient in the OPD and maternity.
  • Perform simple procedures
  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight of clinical programs and services.
  • Develop and implement clinical policies, protocols, and guidelines to ensure best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, standards, and accreditation requirements.
  • Lead the clinical team in improving patient outcomes, safety, and quality of care.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement in clinical practice and service delivery.
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., HR, Finance) to ensure integrated patient care services.
  • Oversee clinical training, education, and professional development for staff.
  • Lead the development and execution of clinical research initiatives and evidence-based practices.
  • Monitor key clinical performance indicators and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Represent the organization in external clinical forums, conferences, and healthcare networks.
  • Any other duties assigned from time to time by management,Nights,Weekends and Holidays required.

 

Requirements:

  • Degree in Clinical Medicine or related field any additional qualifications in healthcare administration or management.
  • 10years of experience in a senior clinical leadership role.
  • Proven expertise in clinical governance, patient safety, and healthcare quality
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, clinical accreditation standards, and industry trends.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to evidence-based medicine and continuous professional development.
  • Must be humble, hardworking, and willing to make a long term commitment in order to follow through on the establishment of a community hospital and the growth of new programs.
  • Must be able to start immediately

  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems and healthcare technologies.
  • Proficiency in budgeting and financial management for clinical departments.
