Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to urgently fill the following positions at The Road Trip, a newly established food and beverage outlet situated in Nguludi, along the scenic Limbe-Midima-Mulanje Road

CHEF

EXPERIENCE 2 YEARS

Duties and Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking dishes to highest standards.
• Developing new recipes and modifying existing recipes in order to suit customers’ tastes and preferences.
• Maintaining kitchen cleanliness and organisation.
• Controlling and minimizing food costs, managing inventory of stock and ordering raw materials.
• Ensuring the compliance of health, safety and hygiene regulations within the kitchen area.
• Prepare specials for customers with special dietary needs.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications

• Diploma/Certificate in Professional Cookery or Food Production from a recognized institution.-
• At least 2 years’ experience as a Chef.
• Proven work experience as a Chef.
• Creativity to create new dishes that meet and exceed customers’ expectations.
• Ability to work under pressure and time constraints.
• In-depth knowledge of menu items, ingredients and methods of cooking.
• Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment.
