Nkhoma Synod Youth Department invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the vacant positions as follows;

Position: Chef

Supervisor: Desk Manager

Duty Station: Malingunde-Lilongwe

Contract period : 1 year

The Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to our menu standards
• Ensure the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently at all times
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen
• Manage inventory and ensure proper storage of ingredients
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team and front-of-house staff
• Stay updated with food trends and new techniques
• Ensure food safety and hygiene regulations are followed
• Any other duties as assigned from time to time

Required Qualification and Experience and Attributes

• Minimum of a Certificate in food production from a reputable institution.
• Proven 1year experience as a Chef or Cook in a fast-paced restaurant environment
• Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and kitchen equipment
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work well under pressure
• A passion for cooking and creativity in food preparation
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
