Chapter Manager

Thriving Community Foundation wishes to recruit Chapter Manager. The incumbent will be reporting to the Thriving Community Foundation Manager. This Senior Management position will be responsible for driving the new Thriving Community Foundation chapter at the Dwangwa Estate. This role will provide specific expertise in the international development sector and develop and maintain professional networks in the donor and development space. The role will design and deliver projects that deliver value to the Dwangwa operation and communities around the operation, while growing the overall program portfolio

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS INCLUDE

  • Participate in the design of projects and activities according to the Thriving Community Foundation approach, that lead to measurable and sustainable results on incomes, livelihoods, security, health, education and access to services.
  • Recruit and support project delivery teams on key projects, intervention activities Grow and oversee the development and the effective execution of the portfolio of community development work at Dwangwa.
  • Facilitate a culture of awareness, learning, engagement partnership and ownership within the estate management on shared value approaches.
  • Responsible for overall program management, including work planning engaging relevant staff and stakeholders, reporting on project activities learning generation and dissemination, etc.
  • Promote and adhere to Illovo SHERQ procedure, policy and guidelines.
  • Support Illovo Sugar Malawi in sourcing and securing leveraged funding in support of Community Development projects in the area.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • MSc/MA/MBA in International Development or related field
  • 10+ years professional experience
  • Team player
  • Ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong writing skills, strong presentation skills,
  • Ability to grow program portfolios, strong analytical and decision-making capabilities.
