CHANGE CHAMPION

REGION: MALAWI – DWANGWA

Our operational footprint is across 10 African countries, which are South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Lesotho, eSwatini, Mozambique, Malawi, Madagascar, Tanzania, and Zambia.

An opportunity has arisen for CHANGE CHAMPION to train and educate employees across the company on business processes, systems and technology, organisational structures, and policy, administers company training certification, and ensure that new processes are effectively adopted.

 

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Experience and Qualification

  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Experience in counselling and effecting behavioral change through pedagogical techniques.
  • Psychological therapy and counselling experience, training, and a minimum 5 years experience in information systems.
  • Fluency in written and spoken Afrikaans and English.
  • Must be in possession of a passport and be able to travel for extended periods to other Unitrans Africa depots in the Southern African region if required.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

FINANCE

Ensure policies and procedures are adhered to.

Report on change expenses.

OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE

  • Apply a structured methodology and lead change management activities
  • Collaborating with the Change Manager in South Africa to gather and analyse operational activities, to support the adoption of changes required by a project or initiative.
  • Preparing change management reports to implement the changes which will result in maximum efficiency.
  • Train staff and computer users in using computer systems, software programs and ensure the assimilation of skills amongst trainees.
  • Inform system developers of improvements to software based on trainee and system users feedback.
  • Support communication efforts
  • Consulting with staff members and identifying and managing anticipated resistance.
  • Drive readiness surveys for processes, positions and systems so that he/she can report on people readiness for change and have a systematic record of their competence to take responsibility for their activities and jobs.
  • Drive communication and training plans to enable smooth implementation of initiatives per head office directives.
  • Managing the change roll-out process by involving key individuals as SME’s and leading them to effect successful project and initiatives roll-out processes in-Namibia, Zambia, Tanzania, Malawi.
  • Assisting with the restructuring of staff and reporting structures to optimise the effective implementation of projects and initiatives.
  • Training, Coaching and Mentoring
  • Training and coaching managers, supervisors and employees to take ownership of changes, participate directly in implementation, and to present initiatives personally at estate and depot level.
  • Assess the change impact
  • Drive set evaluations, the change impact analysis.
  • Tracking implementation progress and reporting back to management.

CUSTOMER INTIMACY

  • Implement and manage key relations by ensuring and maintaining ongoing exceptional relationships with the employees within the various countries.

PEOPLE, TRAINING AND OTHER ACTIVITIES

  • Company code of conduct, policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Evaluating performance on a regular basis.
  • Correct performance when required Policies and procedures are implemented.
  • Drive and provide training of employees according to Workplace Skills Plan.
  • Development of relationships between employees.
  • Ensure that decisions are made and problems are solved when required.
  • Communicate with staff regularly.
  • Motivate staff.
  • Carry out Ancillary duties requested by Management as instructed.
  • Maintain diplomacy, respect, sensitivity and self-control in all interactions with colleagues in own and other departments.
