The Ministry of Education is inviting applications from suitable candidates to fill the vacant positions, existing within the Ministry’s Establishment. Details of the post are as follows:
1) Position: Carpenter (Grade M)
Duty Station: Domasi & Nalikule Colleges and Phalombe Teachers’ Training College
Salary: Within the Government Grade M Salary scale Segment
Qualifications:
– Should have an MSCE Certificate and a Certificate in Carpentry and Joinery from
a recognized institution
– Should not be more than 40 years of age.
-Those with working experience in a similar field will have an added advantage
Responsibilities And Duties
The successful candidate will carry out the following duties:
– Inspecting buildings and checking maintenance requirements
-Fixing window panes on college buildings
-Maintaining worn out and broken down furniture
-Sealing of leaking roofs
-Roofing of new buildings around the campus
-Construction of new structures i.e., shelves, tables, cabinets, etc.
– Reporting to management on carpentry material requirements
