EGPAF has worked in Malawi since 2001. Today, EGPAF Malawi implements evidence-based HIV prevention, care and treatment interventions in 177 health facilities in nine districts through EGPAF’s U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief/U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (PEPFAR/CDC) – funded Achieving HIV Epidemic Control through Scaling Up Quality Testing, Care and Treatment in Malawi.
Job Description
Under the supervision and guidance of the Associate Technical Director (ATD), the Care and Treatment Advisor (CTA) will ensure that EGPAF – Malawi’s HIV Care and Treatment interventions are clinically sound, evidence-based, and aligned with the priorities of Malawi’s Ministry of Health (MoH), donors, and program beneficiaries. The role will encompass antiretroviral therapy (ART) initiation and adherence, differentiated service delivery (DSD) models, defaulter tracking, retention, viral load monitoring, and treatment failure management, with specialized strategies designed to address the unique needs of paediatric populations.
