Fuel Crops Demeter Ltd, Trading as “Balaka Beef, is a company in the meat production industry with a beautiful, well managed Ranch, a first-class abattoir and butchery situated along the banks of Shire River in Balaka.
Balaka Beef is looking for ambitious and motivated candidates to join their team for the two upcoming retail outlets and processing plant to be opened in Lilongwe.
The following are the job Vacancies.
Butcher man – 2 Positions
Responsible in preparing, cutting, and packaging various types of meat.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare and cut different types of meat according to customer preferences and specifications of Balaka Beef standards.
- Ensure the freshness and quality of meat products by inspecting them for any signs of spoilage or damage.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation to ensure a safe and sanitary working environment.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering customer inquiries, providing recommendations, and assisting with special orders.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper handling and storage of meat products.
- Help with loading/unloading and storing meat deliveries
- Assist with inventory management and rotation of stock to minimize waste.
Qualifications and Skills Requirements:
- Malawi School Certificate of Education
- At least 3 years of experience in a busy butchery.
- Strong knowledge of different cuts of meat and the ability to accurately and efficiently prepare them.
- Exceptional knife skills and the ability to use various cutting and grinding equipment safely including cleaning the machines.
