Bickia Enterprises
Bickia enterprises are budding companies in agribusiness (Bickia Horticulture Enterprises, with farms in Mchinji and Salima) and soon commencing operations in cement production (Bickia Cement). The two companies would like to employ the positions listed below all based in Lilongwe. The cement related positions are in anticipation of Bickia Cement obtaining a mining licence. The agribusiness company is already in operation.

Business Development and Marketing Officer
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
Role Purpose: Developing and diversifying the Enterprises’ businesses so that income increases, and the future and growth of the Enterprises are guaranteed |
| Role and Responsibilities
· Understand the details of the Enterprises’ products and discuss strategies with them · Develop business and marketing plans to achieve growth and revenue goals. · Assist in branding and media communication activities such as press releases, advertisements, marketing collaterals, and web site. · Use analytics to monitor the success of advertising campaigns · Keep abreast of technological and digital advances related to marketing · Research the market for new business opportunities and viable income streams. · Develop strategies to attract more customers or clients · Develop business proposals for new and existing clients. · Develop creative strategies to retain clients including interviewing them to take their feedback and incorporate it into the growth plan. · Prepare the annual marketing budget and track the expenses against the budget. · Develop strong customer relationships in order to generate high volume of prospective clients. · Participate in industry forums, client discussions, and conferences as a representative of the organization. · Determine cross-selling opportunities among different offices.

| Qualifications · Must be a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketers (CIM) in good standing. · Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or relevant field and a holder of CIM qualification.

Experience And Skills
· Three years experience at officer level; or 2 years at officer level and 1 year at senior assistant level in marketing, sales, customer relationship; · Experience with design and implementation of business development strategy · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills · Excellent organizational and time management skills · Ability to meet targets, deadlines and work under pressure · Competent in the use of basic IT systems, website admin and social media · Stakeholder management skills · Negotiation skills |
