Branch Manager

Applications are invited from experienced highly motivated professionals to fill the position of Branch Manager tenable at Limbe Branch.

Reporting to the Head of Branch Banking, the job holder will oversee the overall performance of the Branch, including business development, growth, profitability, productivity and controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accountable for market share acquisition.
  • Accountable for the overall client experience within the Branch, including service levels by the staff and the ATM availability and performance.
  • Draw up and implement business development plans.
  • Champion initiatives to migrate existing and new customers on to digital platforms.
  • Accountable for the overall Risk, Operations, Compliance and Governance of the Branch.
  • Adhering to all internal and external audit requirements.
  • Ensure cash security by optimally managing vault limits.
  • Adherence to housekeeping and branding standards.
  • Accountable for the Financial (Deposits – CASA in particular, Income and Expenses) and Non-Financial (Core Account Sales, Active Customer Base, Digitization etc) performance of the Branch.
  • Draw up and implement plans to grow funded and non-funded income.
  • Resource Planning through managing Branch leave plans, exits and onboarding of staff.
  • Champion staff engagement, staff wellness and staff recognition initiatives.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Banking, or related field.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in the business development and control environment.
  • Experience in running a branch.
  • Leadership experience in managing teams.
