Job Title: Blaster and Mechanic

Job Summary:

We’re seeking one experienced Blaster and two Mechanics to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently conducting blasting operations to achieve project goals and servicing construction vehicles. We are located in the northern part of Malawi in Rumphi District along Mzuzu – Karonga M1 road at Chinyoro. The closing date of receiving the CVs and cover letters is 10^th July 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute blasting operations in accordance with project plans and safety regulations.
• Conduct site inspections to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
• Prepare and load explosives, and initiate blasts.
• Monitor blast results and adjust techniques as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
• Maintain accurate records of blasting operations.
• Servicing company vehicles
• Diagnosing issues and performing routing maintenance.

Requirements:

• Relevant experience in blasting operations.
• Valid blasting certification (e.g., explosives handler certification).
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and protocols.
• Physical fitness and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
