Are you a professional accountant with strong knowledge of charity accounting and institutional donors’ projects/grants financial management?

Do you have strong experience in developing and implementing commercial contract/tender (e.g Payment by Result, Fee rate, etc..) or complex grants with institutional donors for charity organizations like Oxfam GB?

Do you have strong experience in developing tools, reports and managing data using Excel advance formulas and Power BI?.

The Role:

Oxfam GB is looking for a Bid & Pricing – Finance Manager, who is a commercial and proposal specialist and will lead, coordinate, and develop pricing models, cost proposals, and detailed budgets for all commercial tenders and complex grants from Institutional donors in close collaboration with Oxfam affiliates, countries, and regions for a portfolio of circa £1m + applications.

We’re looking for a candidate who cares about Oxfam’s mission to end poverty and is personally aligned to our feminist principles and values of empowerment, accountability and inclusion in all you do.

 

An ideal candidate for the role will also be / have:

  • Professional accountancy qualification – e.g. CIMA, ACCA or qualified by experience with strong knowledge of charity accounting, countries prog costs structures, cost recovery strategies and commercial contracts rules.
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel such as pivot table, macros, power queries, data validation, formulas, and logic statements; including skills to create finance models and reports with Power BI.
  • Experience of developing cost/pricing models for commercial contract/ tender or grant opportunities from institutional donors like FCDO (Foreign Commonwealth & Development Office), AfDB (Asian Development Bank), SDC (Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation) etc.
  • Experience of working on Payment by Results and building fee rates.
  • Ability to lead a broad range of complex and high value bids.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills and fluent written and spoken English.
  • Ability to influence outcomes, facilitate processes and work with others on tasks or projects, without direct line management authority.
  • Ability to work within a multi-cultural, multi-lingual, and multi-disciplinary environment that values diversity and inclusion.
