BARTENDER

Palm Valley Conference and Recreation Centre are looking for a self-starter, motivated and result oriented individual to help us grow our recreation and beverage business, who should have the following for the position of Bartender:

• A Certificate in Food and Beverage Service from Malawi Institute of Tourism or equivalent from a recognized institution
• At least 3 years’ experience in a busy Bar
• Honest and focused on accountability.

Adequate knowledge of various Beverages, including the following:

• Mixing, garnishing and serving beverages according to specifications
• Supporting guests choose items on a Menu or guiding them through drink options
• Taking orders and making guests feel taken care of during their time at the Lodge.
• Stock management and control experience.
• Able to propose and implement strategies on how to attract guests and increase Beverage and Snack sales.

CHEF (Pastry)

Palm Valley Conference and Recreation Centre are looking for a self-starter, motivated and result oriented individual for the position of Chef with a skill bias in pastry.

Qualified candidates should have the following:

• Diploma or Certificate in Food Production
• At least 3 years hands on experience in aspects of food production, pastry, and confectionery.
• Excellent knowledge of food quality and taste.
• Honest and dependable character, flexible and ready to work odd hours.
