Local Government Service Commission is inviting applications from suitably qualified Malawians for the following vacancies existing at Nsanje District Council

POST: Assistant Social Welfare Officer
GRADE K/M8

QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must be serving Senior Community Development Officers (Grade L/M10) with a minimum four (4) years’ experience at that grade in the Local Authorities OR in possession of Diploma in Social Work, Diploma in Community Development and Diploma in Child Development.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Assisting in counselling services either on individual basis or group arrangement
2. Assisting in observance and assessment of juvenile behaviour developments for the purpose of release, transfers or application
3. Monitoring implementation of programs and activities by social welfare assistant
4. Coordinate related social welfare activities with other organisations
5. Assist in facilitating training and supervision of subordinate staff.
