Quantity Surveyor

AMAC Engineering Limited is a contracting firm specialized in Building services Works, Mechanical Works, and Electrical works.  We are looking for a vibrant Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join team as an intern.

Duties and Responsibilities

As a Quantity surveyor, you will be responsible for helping to estimate costs, quantities, and project timelines and providing this information to clients. You will be liasing with a variety of other teams and helping to keep a project on track. Below is the detailed list of re:

• Liaising with clients to identify their needs
• Estimating quantities, costs and time scales for material and Labour
• Preparing tender and contract documents
• Identifying and weighing up commercial risks
• Assigning work to subcontractors
• Valuing completed work, managing budgets and overseeing payments
• Ensuring projects meet legal and quality standards
• Ensuring that clients get value for their money
• Submitting regular budget reports
• Following building regulations and health and safety
• Working at a client’s business, in an office or on a construction site

Required qualifications and Attributes

• Diploma in Quantity survey from recognized institution
• Self-motivated and confident
• Able to communicate well, both verbally and in writing
• Able to manage their own workload and to support others when needed
• Able to show initiative and act proactively
• Flexible and adaptable
• Able to use Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and Outlook
