Chikwawa District Council
Local Government Service Commission is inviting applications from suitably qualified Malawians to fill the following vacant positions tenable at Chikwawa District Council. The applicants must be willing to work in rural areas and subjected to Malawi Public Service Regulations (MPSR) from time
to time.
POST TITLE: ASSISTANT ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH OFFICER
Grade: K/M8
Salary: Within the range of Government (K/M8) salary scale segment
Location: Chikwawa District Council
Duties
i. Planning Environmental health activities in the area.
ii. Inspecting business and food premises to assess health risks.
iii. Inspecting institutions such as hospitals, Schools Prisons, Orphanages, Nurseries
iv. Collecting water and food samples for bacteriological examination and chemical analysis.
v. Assisting protection of wells and maintenance of water points.
Education Qualification
Applicants must be in possession of a Diploma in Environmental Health obtained from a registered
and accredited institutions
EMPLOYMENT TERMS
Successful candidates must be willing to be deployed in rural areas.
