Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the newly created position of:
ASSISTANT AGRICULTURE NUTRITION OFFICER
Mulanje Mission Hospital is looking to engage a committed, motivated person to take up the position of Assistant Agriculture Nutrition Officer under the Sustainable Livelihood Programme.
Reporting to the Project Officer, the officer will be responsible for:
- Developing and improving market-access options for farmers in the catchment area.
- Working together with local farmers to develop value addition activities
- Organizing nutrition programmes.
- Facilitating trainings on various programmes to the local farmers
- Performing any other duties that may be deemed reasonable for the post including activities in other aspects of the SLP.
Qualifications and skills
- Diploma in Nutrition or Agriculture or related field obtained from a recognised training institution.
- Minimum of 2 years working experience in a comparable position.
- Hands on experience in food value addition.
Personal attributes
- Highly motivated, team player
- Able to work under rural conditions and occasionally long hours
- In possession of a motorcycle driver’s license or willing to get one.
