Assistant Accountant (Grade K)
Reporting to: The College Accountant
The role will involve working collaboratively with Administration, Finance, Academic teams across the College.
The position has the following key performance areas:
a) Perform bank reconciliations and other reconciling tasks as needed.
b) Enter and verify the accuracy of financial transactions.
c) Maintain college ledgers and daily financial transactions.
d) Maintain fixed asset register.
e) Manage monthly payroll activities.
f) Assist with preparations for financial statements and other reports.
g) Prepare monthly Cash-flows.
h) Monitor processing of payments.
i) Maintain cashbook.
j) Ensure paid vouchers are properly filed.

Qualifications and Experience
a) Diploma in Accounting or Business Administration with over three (3) years of demonstrable experience in a similar position.
b) Knowledge of Sage accounting software is a must.
c) Those with a Degree in their relevant field of study will have an added advantage.
