The Agricultural Research and Extension Trust (ARET) is Malawi’s premier institution in tobacco research, extension and fraining services. Established in 1995 and funded primarily by tobacco growers, ARET’s Core activities include development and dissemination of tobacco technologies and training of stakeholders in order to sustain and improve tobacco productivity while conserving the natural resources.

ELECTRONIC MEDIA SERVICES TECHNICIAN
THE CANDIDATE
Working in a fast paced, dynamic and constantly changing environment, the candidate will ensUre the reliability and integrity of electronic media content critical to the delivery of agricultfural fechnologies through radio programmes for the farming communities. He/she shall ensure that broadcasts and media systems scripts are processed and delivered in line with agreed timescales and to industry specifications.

KEY FUNCTION
Reporting to the Extension and Communications Specialist, the candidate will be expected to prepare and produce programme scripts and outlines and transmit recorded messages for broadcasts relative to modern farming technologies and
good agricultural labour practices.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
•Diploma in Journalism from a recognized institution.
•Five years of relevant experience.
