Financial Intelligence Authority

The Financial Intelligence Authority (FIA) is a government agency established under the Financial Crimes Act 2017 to prevent and combat financial crimes through detecting and investigating these crimes and disseminating financial intelligence to competent authorities and engage in information sharing with other Financial Intelligence Units in order to maintain the integrity of the country’s financial system. In line with its mandate, FIA has the following vacancies to be filled. The posts are tenable at FIA offices in Lilongwe.

Operations Analysis Manager

Reporting to the Director of Monitoring and Analysis, the job-holder will be responsible for the effective and efficient production and dissemination of financial intelligence to competent authorities.

 

 

Administration Officer

Reporting to the Finance and Administration Manager, the job-holder will be responsible for administrative and secretarial duties of the organisation which must be performed with integrity in order to attain operational effectiveness and efficiency.

Qualifications and Attributes:

  • A minimum of Diploma in Secretarial Management, Business Studies, Human Resources Management or related professional qualification from a recognized and reputable university.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a comparable position.
  • Mature person with outstanding communication and presentation skills.
  • Team player and ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Handling incoming and outgoing communications.
  • Maintaining and managing appointments for the Director General.
  • Carrying out general office administration including management of official logistical arrangements and overseeing cleanliness of office environment.
  • Carrying out secretarial functions including preparing minutes of staff meetings.
  • Participating in organisation of corporate events.
  • Assisting with storage and management of stocks of office supplies.
  • Filing communications.
  • Managing the institutions’ staff leave program.
