UNC Project Malawi

Main Duties/Responsibilities

  • ERP-based financial transactions and ledger reconciliations.
  • Electronic and paper-based document filling.
  • Managing ERP requisitions and EFT payments
  • Prudent management and disbursement of cash.
  • Preparation and submission of Grants reports.
  • Electronic tax preparation and submission (VAT, withholding tax, PAYE) returns and reconciliations
  • Preparation and submission of bank reconciliation statements.
  • Performs any other duties assigned by the Supervisor

 

Qualification and Experience

  • Malawi School Certificate of Education, plus
  • Diploma in Accounting, with at least three years relevant experience, or
  • Degree in Accounting, with at least one year relevant work experience
  • Degree in Business Administration with exposure and experience in accounting processes and cash management.
  • Those with grants project accounting and reporting experience have added advantage.
  • Conversant with ERP Accounting software and Microsoft packages
  • Conversant with Auditing Principles and Practice
