Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail oriented and motivated Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing client accounts, processing financial data related to closed deals and fund collections, and ensuring accurate allocation of funds.
Essential Functions:
Financial Reporting:
Preparing Financial Statements: Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Monthly and Quarterly Reports: Generate monthly and quarterly financial reports for management review.
Variance Analysis: Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies between actual and budgeted figures.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
Processing Invoices: Process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payment.
Managing Receivables: Monitor and manage accounts receivable, including issuing invoices and following up on overdue payments.
Financial Analysis:
Budgeting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Cost Analysis: Conduct cost analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve financial efficiency.
Financial Modelling: Develop financial models to support strategic decision-making.
Software and Systems Management:
CRM Experience: Prefer experience with Salesforce but is not required.
Accounting Software: Proficiently use accounting software to manage financial data.
Data Entry: Ensure accurate and timely data entry into accounting systems.
Communication and Coordination:
Client Communication: Communicate with clients to gather financial information, clarify discrepancies, and provide updates on financial matters.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with onshore accounting/leadership teams to ensure seamless workflow and information sharing.
Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports to management on financial performance and key metrics.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field plus 2 + years’ experience.
Understanding of accounting principles and direct experience with SaaS finance
In-depth knowledge of accounts payable and general accounting departments
Strong financial analysis skills. Ability to see the story behind the numbers along with the ability to articulate that story to management.
High level proficiency in MS Office and various financial software applications and expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
