Job Title: Accountant

Reports to: The Managing Director

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our company, responsible for preparing and reviewing financial statements, management accounts, managing fixed asset register and ensuring compliance with local regulatory authorities. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in financial reporting, budgeting, accounts management, auditing, and financial compliance, with a strong focus on accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail to ensure seamless financial operations and informed business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  •  Prepare for and manage external audits.
  • Preparation of payroll.
  • Ensure timely preparation and submission of MRA returns.
  • Reconciling company accounts, including bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Managing Inventory.
  •  Production costing.
  •  Liaise with the administrator on finance related matters.
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
  • Timely update of financial records in QuickBooks.
  • Financial Analysis and Budgeting: Assist in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting to support business decision-making.
  • Internal auditing and implementing internal controls to ensure financial accuracy and security.
  •  Providing financial reports and insights to management and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Professional Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA, ACCA or other professional certifications preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing  industry.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in accounting software(QuickBooks), Excel, and other financial tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
