LIFE Ministry Malawi
Life Ministry Malawi is an Interdenominational Christian Organization that has been serving the Malawian Church since 1979. We do this through Evangelism and Discipleship among High School and Campus Students, Professionals, Executives and Churches. We are looking for a qualified person to fill the above mentioned position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain proper books of accounts for the organization ensuring all financial transactions are accurately and completely recorded.
- Reconcile all banking procedures, manage bank standing orders and handle all bank correspondence.
- Advising management on all financial issues of the organization·
- Preparation of payroll and remission of PAYE taxes to the tax authorities.
- Making payments to the pension fund. Managing the relationship with the fund and all the day to day administration of the fund.
- Updating fixed assets register and properly charging and calculation of depreciation
- Preparation of monthly financial reports·Preparation for cheques for ministry
- Preparation of audits and handling audit queries
- Capturing data in Netsuite
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be a born again Christian and an active member of a local church.
- Minimum of a diploma in accounting from a recognized institution.
- Knowledge of accounting packages like Sage and QuickBooks.
- Proficiency in NetSuite is an added advantage.
- At least 2 years’ experience in accounting.
- Fluency in English with good communication skills.
- Has good interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Is flexible in their approach to work.
- Must be a mature person with a good reputation.
- Is organized and self-motivated
