An opportunity has arisen at Kansai Plascon Malawi Limited for the position of Account Receivables Administrator tenable at Makata Head Office in Blantyre. The main purpose of the position is to ensure an effective and efficient management of debtors’ portfolio in accordance with the business credit policy aimed at driving stable and health cashflow position. This is a very challenging role requiring only those individuals with high levels of integrity, self-discipline, maturity and ability
to work under extreme pressure. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the incumbent shall be expected to deliver the following among others;
- Conduct daily debt collection from all customer accounts to meet set targets
- Promptly bank all cash and cheque payments received or collected
- Ensure customer statements are sent out at the beginning of every new month
- Ensure customers abide by the agreed payment terms
- Ensure new applicants are vetted accordingly before approval processes
- Ensure customer accounts are updated correctly and timely
- Ensure complete customer documentations are available in their files
- Ensure that daily banking reports are completed and circulated to management
- Compile and submit monthly debtor’s reports as per requirement.
- Handle proficiently all debtors’ queries at all times
- Ensure all customer accounts are properly and accurately reconciled at all times
- Ensure that credit and collection policies are followed to the book
- Monitor debtor’s balances to ensure a reduction in total debtors’ portfolio
- Maintain a cordial relationship with internal and external customers
- Manage all key customer accounts in an ethical and professional manner
- Advise management on risky debtors from time to time
- Any other duties as may be assigned by management from time to time
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy from a recognized institution
- ACCA Advanced Diploma
- MSCE or Equivalent is a must
- Valid driving license
