Job Summary
Office Assistants will offer cleaning services within office spaces. He or she will perform various functions, which primarily involve ensuring a clean and safe office environment
Specific Responsibilities and Duties
- Cleaning floors of offices, conference room, corridors, and other assigned areas and stairways by sweeping, mopping, waxing, vacuuming and polishing.
- Dusts, waxes, and polishes office furniture, equipment’s and empties waste baskets.
- Cleans rest rooms and other restroom fixtures, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, disinfecting, deodorizing lavatories, commodes, and; polishes, cleans mirrors, water fountains; replaces soap, towels, and toilet tissues.
- Responsible for reporting broken windows, malfunctioning equipment, stopped up drains, and leaking plumbing.
- Wash kitchen appliances like cups, tea pot, polishes & cleans kitchen furniture, Kitchen sink; wash and replace towels.
- Checks and replenish stock in supply cupboards, bathrooms and kitchen on a daily basis and inform the responsible person for purchase.
- Photocopying, scanning, filling, binding, laminating documents
- shopping, preparing and cooking meals for staff
- preparing coffee & tea for staff visitors
- Any other duties assigned from time to time
Job Specifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Junior Certificate of Education
Experience
- Three years of office assistant work experience.
Specific Knowledge, Skills and abilities Required
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in teams.
