To supervise artisans, plan their work and ensure that activities take place according to specific schedules, procedures ad standards. Allocate labour, spares, and material. Ensure that all safety rules are adhered to. Inspect workplace regularly, identify and solve material and machinery problems. And seek continuous improvement of service delivery and machines. |
Minimum Requirements |

- Qualified Diesel Mechanic and/or Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

- Minimum of five (5) years’ workshop supervisory / Management experience with Chopper Harvesting Equipment and Information reporting systems (e.g. Schlott).

Duties & Responsibilities |

- Ensure expenditure is within budget.
-
- Take appropriate corrective action regarding cost exceeding budget timeously.

- Ensure that machines are inspected after servicing and repairs.

- Ensure that quality standards are always maintained.

- Ensure that machines are test driven/operated after a service or repair.

- Ensure that breakdowns are attended to expeditiously.

- Make necessary arrangements when a machine accident or incident occurs.

- Conduct housekeeping audits regularly and corrective action is taken if required,

- Conduct safety audits regularly on all facets and corrective action is taken if required.

- Reporting on safety is done accurately and timeously according to Company Procedure & Standard.

- Stock checks are done randomly.

- Ensure stock orders are signed.

- Maintain close contact with suppliers of stock is to ensure quality and service.
- Compile weekly service schedules.
