Loan Approving Officer
Reporting to the Administration and Collections Manager – Consumer Lending, the successful candidate will be responsible for verifying loan applications for consumer lending and ensuring efficiency in the approval processes and assessments in compliance with
bank`s consumer lending loan policy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Screening and auditing loan applications for credibility.
- Quality check and assessing of clients’ creditworthiness.
- Ensure that fraud prevention measures are applied consistently during the audit process.
- Ensure optimum efficiency and satisfactory turnaround times.
- Approval and verification of loaded limits as per role codes and disburse funds VIA EFT.
- Disbursement of loan within the prescribed time frames.
- Stakeholder Engagement.
- Record Keeping
- Reporting
- Ensure adherence with all relevant company Standard Operating Procedures of the bank and comply with same
Technical Skills/Competencies
- Attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills
- Good customer service skills
- Good ethics and ability to work with sensitive financial information
- Experience with payroll deduction system (Payment Solutions Malawi)
Qualifications and Requirements
- Degree in Business Administration, Commerce or equivalent
- Microfinance and sales environment background
- Experience with payroll deduction system (Payment Solutions Malawi)
