NICO Life seeks to hire a qualified person for the role of Sales Administrator. The position is based in Blantyre and the person will be responsible for assisting in driving Individual Life sales growth initiatives, acquisition, and customer support service provision through supporting of the set initiatives in the business strategy.
Reporting to the Sales Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for:-
- Planning – Assisting in developing a new annual business development plan for the Sales team for Individual Life business based on the Company strategy, and together with Team Leaders, developing the sales targets based on historic performance and operating environment.
- Budget Management and Control for Individual Life Sales – Maintaining sales records and databases, tracking and analyzing sales reports and data, and assisting Team Leaders in the implementation of the budget initiatives, identifying variances, and developing an action plan to address these.
- New Business Development – Driving individual life new sales development for teams by proactively assisting Sales Agents in cross-selling initiatives, checking and monitoring the achievement of new business sales targets by each sales team, and assisting Team Leaders in the digital on boarding of new business.
- Client Servicing (Post Sales Service) – Interfacing with the Operations and Customer Experience Teams to drive Client Servicing (Post Sale Service) for the Sales team across all regions, to contribute to positive customer experience.
- Business Intelligence – Reporting on market and competitor intelligence, and developing trends from Individual Life sales with commentary, to assist with decision making.
- Management of the Tied-Sales Agency Contracts – Ensuring that every Sales Agent and Team Leader has a valid contract, performance tracking of Sales Agents, and in conjunction with Human Resources team, ensuring that Sales Agents are being rewarded in line with the Sales Agency contract.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance or any other related field.
- A charter holder qualification in Marketing or Insurance is desirable.
- At least 4 years’ experience in Sales or Marketing with at least 2 years in managing sales teams.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Proven experience to produce statistical reports and trend analyses using Microsoft Excel or similar applications.
- Ability to manage and develop a team.
- Clear verbal and written communication and ability to prepare accurate reports.
- Ability to plan and organize in line with job requirements.
- Ability to interact, negotiate and achieve targets.
