CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: INTERNSHIP POSITIONS
The @Employers’ Consultative Association of Malawi (ECAM) invites applications from suitably qualified Malawian youths for internship positions in all sectors in various institutions in the following districts: Blantyre, Mulanje, Thyolo, Mangochi, Salima, Lilongwe, and Mzuzu.
ECAM has partnered with the International Labour Organization (ILO) to facilitate the implementation of the internship programme by identifying host institutions and the attachment of interns.
The ILO ProAgro YOUTH project aims to increase decent self and wage employment for rural youth through integrated agri-business hubs. ProAgro Youth represents the vision of the consortium, led by the International Labour Organization (ILO), in collaboration with the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), private and public sector leaders, and youth to enact systemic labour force and industry change in the rural economy, resulting in measurably improved youth economic opportunities in the evolving agribusiness sectors of Côte d’Ivoire, Madagascar, Malawi, and Algeria.
In this arrangement, the host institutions’ role will be to impart skills and mentor the interns so that they gain practical working experience in their relevant field of study. Payment of a monthly stipend will be made by the project.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Selection of interns will be done in three categories (based on qualifications), namely degree, diploma, and certificate.
- Suitably qualified candidates should be young graduates aged between 18 and 35 years from Technical, Entrepreneurial, and Vocational Education and Training Institutions, Community Technical Colleges, and Universities (public and private) recognized by the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE).
INTERNSHIP DURATION
The interns will be attached to the host organization for three months.
