Tearfund in Malawi is looking for an experienced Projects Manager.

Under the direct supervision of the Country Director, the Projects Manager to be based in Lilongwe will be accountable for Tearfund partners’ capacity assessment and enhancement, monitor partners work in line with funded proposals, working with partners to come up with winning proposals for acquisition and allocation of funds to a portfolio of partners, review and submit partners reports to donors.

The post holder will  provide guidance that ensures that partners effectively implement projects that deal with the strategic poverty issues in Malawi and bring good news to the poor holistically.

Tearfund is a UK based, Christian INGO working in 50 countries around the world, to lift people out of poverty, using local partners and churches wherever possible.

Do you have experience of:

  • Project design, operational  and management skills
  • Very good communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to review internal compliance systems and make recommendations for action
  • Experience of compiling and reviewing donor reports
  • Experience/exposure to basic accounting systems for purposes of partner budgets monitoring
  • At least 5 years relevant working experience preferably in an INGO
  • Working in a consortium or Collaborative partnership

Please note: This is a fixed term, full time contract of 1 Year , with a possibility of renewal. Applicants must possess the right to live and work in Malawi.

The successful candidate will be offered an Annual Basic Salary of 31,909,723.2 MWK Per Annum.
