ADVERTISEMENT FOR THE POSITION OF HEALTH AND SAFETY OFFICER
DUTY STATION: LILONGWE
Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the above position.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be a holder of Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Public Health or Environmental Health.
- Those with a Diploma and over 10 years’ experience will be considered.
DUTIES
1. Conducting safety inspections (scaffolds, plants etc.)
2. Preparing PRA for new project assigned
3. Preparing Risk Assessment on assigned sites
4. Preparing daily, weekly and monthly reports
5. Attending Site Meetings
6. Conducting Health , Safety and Environmental Toolbox Talk
7. Accidents reporting
8. Organizing HIV awareness campaigns for site assigned
9. Assisting HR on Workers Compensation when asked to do so
10. Ensuring that safety measures are up to date at all times
PRACTICAL WORK EXPERIENCE
- Must have 5 years’ experience working in the construction industry.
- Those with vast experience in structures will have an added advantage.
