Family Planning Association of Malawi (FPAM) is a local, non-governmental organization providing
youth friendly sexual and reproductive health rights, information, and services. FPAM’s vision is a
Malawian society with access to quality and comprehensive sexual and reproductive health services
and information.

FPAM is looking for suitably qualified candidates to fill the following vacant position.

SERVICE DELIVERY MANAGER

Department: Programs

Reporting to: Director of Programs

Basis of Employment: Annual Contract

I. Overall Objective:

To oversee provision of efficient service delivery in FPAM service outlets with authority and accountability for planning and developing services and controlling use of resources, managing and planning for services and ensuring sustainability of the clinics as viable business within the organization in consultation with the Director of Programs. To uphold set standards and guidelines by Ministry of Health and IPPF at all FPAM Clinics.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

a. Monitor and control district performance, focusing on all the service channels (static clinics, outreach and community health team) against planned business and budgetary targets.
b. Ensure commodity security (stock management) and dispatch essential commodities and supplies timely to prevent stock outs at all service delivery points.
c. Strengthen existing outreach services and expand service offerings.
d. Coordinate with project coordinators and district officers to develop schedules for outreach clinics.
e. Oversee the performance of all clinics and other service delivery channels.
f. Provide technical advice to SMT through the DOP.
g. Compile service data and other relevant data, including clinic revenue and ensure high quality of service provision in all clinics and communities.
h. Make decisions in consultation with the DOP on training of service providers and general clinic management.

3. REQUIRED QUALIFICATION:

a) Master’s degree in Reproductive Health is essential or Masters Degree in Public Health, Nursing or Midwifery with a first degree in Nursing, Midwifery or Medicine.
b) Minimum of 7 years’ experience in management of health programs, experience in clinic management will be an added advantage.
c) Expertise in development of service manuals and guidelines.
d) Experience in conducting supportive supervision and mentorship
e) Excellent communication skills – written and oral, strong presentation skills, proposal writing/development skills and analytical skills.
