Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons of Malawi origin to fill vacant positions that have emerged at Malawi Engineering Institution (MEI) Head Office in Lilongwe. MEI was established under Section 3 of the Malawi Engineering Institution Act, 2019 as the sole authority for regulation of
engineering, the engineering profession and allied disciplines in Malawi.
To perform its functions effectively and efficiently, MEI now invites suitably qualified and experienced individuals to apply for the following positions:
Registration Officer
Grade: M4
Department/Division: Membership and Compliance Department
Responsible to: Membership and Compliance Manager
Responsible for: Assistant Registration Officer
Purpose of the Job: To provide member registration services
Key Duties and Responsibilities
a) Supporting registration processes of engineering practitioners
b) Enforcing registration compliance requirements
c) Maintaining member registers
d) Assisting in preparing divisional budgets, periodical reports and registration work plans
e) Preparing responses to queries on matters affecting engineers’ registration processes
f) Ensuring adherence to laid down registration procedures and standards
g) Reporting any registration related discrepancies to his or her seniors
h) Carrying out any other duties as assigned from time to time
Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelors’ Degree in Engineering from a recognized University.
- Registration with MEI as a Graduate Engineer
- At least two (2) years’ work experience in the engineering sector
