Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons of Malawi origin to fill vacant positions that have emerged at Malawi Engineering Institution (MEI) Head Office in Lilongwe. MEI was established under Section 3 of the Malawi Engineering Institution Act, 2019 as the sole authority for regulation of
engineering, the engineering profession and allied disciplines in Malawi.
To perform its functions effectively and efficiently, MEI now invites suitably qualified and experienced individuals to apply for the following positions:
Training and CPD Officer
Grade: M4
Department / Division: Training and Examinations Department
Responsible to: Training and Examinations Manager
Purpose of the Job: To facilitate member training and acquisition of CPD Points
Key Duties and Responsibilities
a) Identifying training needs and designing curriculum for continuous professional development activities
b) Processing CPD applications and maintaining a database of CPD providers and their respective facilitators
c) Organizing trainings for engineering practitioners
d) Preparing responses to queries pertaining to CPDs
e) Ensuring that service delivery in the division is done in accordance with laid the down training procedures and standards
f) Ensuring that the section’s resources are utilized efficiently and effectively for the furtherance of the objectives of the Institution
g) Carrying out any other duties as assigned from time to time.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business Administration from a recognized University.
- Registration with MEI as a Graduate Engineer for holders of a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
- At least three (3) years’ working experience in a similar position
