Job Description
To contribute to the functional support for the financial management function. This involves collecting, processing, investigating, understanding and analysing on transactional financial data and information.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy obtained from a reputable institution.
- Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA/ICAM)
Experience Required
- Minimum of 3 to 4 years of external audit experience
- Experience in an Accounting or Finance department, preferably in a Financial Institution will be an added advantage.
Additional Information
Key Job Functions
- Review transactional financial data and information integrity to ensure they accurately reflect the operating results of the bank.
- Drive the month end close processes including but not limited to processing of adjustment journals; and ensuring validity, accuracy and completeness of financial information in the general ledger.
- Obtain an understanding of the business environment and processes which are being supported in order to add value and allow for appropriate decision making to occur.
- Enforce the group guidelines and policies around financial management and financial control.
- Assist in preparation of monthly management accounts and provide commentary thereon.
- Assist in preparation of annual financial statements
- Be the point of contact between Finance and external auditors/internal auditors.
