Job Description

To contribute to the functional support for the financial management function. This involves collecting, processing, investigating, understanding and analysing on transactional financial data and information.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy obtained from a reputable institution.
  • Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA/ICAM)

Experience Required

  • Minimum of 3 to 4 years of external audit experience
  • Experience in an Accounting or Finance department, preferably in a Financial Institution will be an added advantage.
Additional Information

Key Job Functions

  • Review transactional financial data and information integrity to ensure they accurately reflect the operating results of the bank.
  • Drive the month end close processes including but not limited to processing of adjustment journals; and ensuring validity, accuracy and completeness of financial information in the general ledger.
  • Obtain an understanding of the business environment and processes which are being supported in order to add value and allow for appropriate decision making to occur.
  • Enforce the group guidelines and policies around financial management and financial control.
  • Assist in preparation of monthly management accounts and provide commentary thereon.
  • Assist in preparation of annual financial statements
  • Be the point of contact between Finance and external auditors/internal auditors.

  • Vast knowledge in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Accounting Standard (IAS).
